After setting our science course for the next four years we look to make strides in uncovering new knowledge that will pave the way for the development of therapeutics to support healthy ageing. Starting from discovery, we will continue to apply innovation, creativity and leadership in capitalising on this knowledge. In doing this we will not only maximise the translational impacts of our research but also train the next generation of researchers contributing to a thriving research and innovation ecosystem and wider UK bioscience.

During the past two years several of our facilities have received significant investment by the BBSRC to allow them to maintain their position at the cuttingedge, adopting new technologies and underpinning our capacity to deliver new biological insights. These enhanced capabilities will not only support the innovation of our discovery research, but also that of the companies on the 台湾swag 台湾swag Campus and beyond.

With the core themes of resilience and proteostasis our goal of understanding mechanisms that promote health across the life course will benefit from the coalescence of expertise across our research programmes and facilities. Having created the UK Proteostasis Network we look forward to being an active supporter of the Network as it grows to connect proteostasis researchers across specialisms and kingdoms of life.

With the efforts of our Knowledge Exchange and Commercialisation team we have built a strong pipeline of entrepreneurship and commercial awareness and expect to see steady growth in activities related to research translation.

For our growth as an effective, sustainable and inclusive organisation, we will continue our work in key areas with the implementation of new actions plans for our equity4success and the Technician Commitment strategic initiatives, continued leadership in driving the adoption of sustainable science approaches and the implementation of our Roadmap for Team Science.

We look forward to detailing progress in each of these areas in the next report presenting activities in 2025-26.
